Color Guard

The Monrovia High School Color Guard performs as the primary visual ensemble of the Monrovia Marching Wildcats and as a separate ensemble competing in the Winter Guard Association of Southern California. Members receive instruction in dance movement and handling technique for traditional color guard equipment (flags, rifles, and sabers) as well as some unconventional equipment (bicycle fronts, bird kites, brass rings).

In recent years, the MHS Color Guard has become competitive in our regional band and color guard circuits. The guard are 2-time WGASC Div. RA Champions (2009 & 2011), took 2nd place Auxiliary at the 2009 SCSBOA Div. A Field Championships, and most recently, won the silver medal at the 2012 WGASC Championships in Div. RAA.

The MHS Color Guard is instructed and choreographed by Mr. Brian Nunez.
